Our monthly newsletter had incorrectly stated that we would not have school on October 18 for MEA (Montana Education Association) break. The correct dates for MEA weekend are October 19-20. THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL ON OCTOBER 19-20. We will have school on October 18. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Say hello to Miyra from k316detection. Miyra is a trained drug detection dog and she visited our school campus today as part of a proactive step to promote a drug-free school environment. Miyra does not check individual students, but she does check cars, backpacks, and lockers. She is trained to alert on a wide range of substances and her random visits occur several times during the school year.

On Thursday (9-21) our MS & HS volleyball teams will host GFCC starting at 4:00pm and on Friday (9-22) they will host Simms starting at 4:00pm. Our MS and HS football teams travel to Shelby on Friday (9-21) with games times at 4:30pm and 7:00pm. HS XC will travel to Missoula for a meet on Saturday (9-23). Monday (9-25) our JV football team travels to Fairfield for a 4:00pm game. Good luck and GO HUSKIES!

The Husky football teams will be in action tonight at Fort Benton with the MS boys team kicking off at 4:30pm and the varsity game at 7:00pm. The varsity game will be broadcasted on KMON 560am, the KMON app as well as 560KMON.com. Good luck Huskies!
Homecoming week is September 11-16. Please come out and support your Huskies! The Class of 2024 is hosting a Homecoming Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, September 15 from 4:00-7:00pm in the Belt School Cafeteria. The price will be $7 per plate or $25 for a family of 4 or more. The annual flu shot clinic at the school is September 25th from 9-11 am. Make sure to bring or provide copies of your insurance card if you or your child are attending the clinic.
Do you have or know of a child who will be headed into Early Kindergarten (PreK) next year? If so, please make sure they get signed up for the free Developmental Screening in Belt on Friday, September 22nd. The screening is for all children and especially for children almost ready to enter school to help determine if they are meeting developmental milestones. Call the school office or NCLRC (727-6303) for more information.
Due to the unhealthy air conditions caused by wildfires, the JV football game vs Hays Lodgepole scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed . We will look to reschedule the game at a later date. Please check the school website for updates.
Good luck to all of our Huskies as they kick off the school year with their first competitions. The middle school and high school cross country teams head to Livingston for a meet today. The high school volleyball team hosts an invitational tournament in Belt on Saturday starting at 9:00am, the middle school volleyball A team travels to Simms, and our high school football team will travel to Winifred to play Fairview at 2:00pm. The BVHS Cheerleaders are selling Husky Game Day Apparel. Pick up an order form in the office. Cheerleaders will also be taking pre-orders at the scrimmages on Aug. 18th and at Open House on Aug. 21st. All orders are due by Friday. Sept. 1st. Checks made payable to Belt Cheer.
Welcome back! Belt Public Schools will be hosting a back to school Open House on Monday, August 21st starting at 5:30pm. Students, the first day of school is August 23.

Belt High School Football Camp- July 17th-19th- The HS football camp will start at 2:00pm on July 17th. The camp runs from 2:00pm-4:00pm Monday-Wednesday.
