Middle School and High School Parents- On Monday March 18th, Angel Creech from the Cascade County Sherriff's Office will be conducting two separate presentations ( one for MS students and one for HS students) about internet and body safety. A parent permission form (attached) was sent home today and has to be signed and returned to the school before a student can attend the presentation. This is an important presentation that includes awareness of new online threats targeting students, but we understand how some parents may have some reservations, so please contact the school office if you have any questions.

A reminder that today, 3/13/2024, is an early-release for students at 12:31pm to allow for staff training. Buses will run as soon as students are released, please plan accordingly if your child is parent-pickup.

FFA is sponsoring a Cash Cow Fundraiser next week (March 11th-15th) to see which class can fill up their Milk Jugs with the most loose change or cash.

MS games will be held in Belt this afternoon (3/4/24) with game times as follows: Boys' C scrimmage in MP at 4:00pm, Girls' B main gym vs Dutton-Brady at 4:00pm, Boys' B main gym vs Dutton-Brady at 5:00pm, Girls' A main gym vs Dutton-Brady at 6:00pm, Boys' A main gym at 7:00pm vs Fairfield. Go Huskies!!

Calling all Huskies!!! Come out and support our boys' basketball team in a Northern C Divisional challenge game vs Winnett-Grass Range with a trip to the State C Tournament on the line. Wear your maroon Husky gear and bring all of your Husky spirit!! Game time is 4:00pm (Monday-2/26/24) at the Expo Center in Great Falls. Tournament passes will not get you into the challenge game, you will have to pay at the gate. Good luck and GO HUSKIES!!!

Congratulations to our Huskies! Both the girls' and boys' teams advanced to the Northern C Divisional Basketball Tournament to be held Feb 21-24, at the Four Seasons in Gt Falls. Divisional Tournament Tickets will be on sale in the Belt School Office, Monday thru Thursday at 12:00pm. Adult all-session passes: including Seniors($35.00 BLUE_ORANGE) Student all-session passes($25.00 BLUE_RED) All-Session Passes purchased at Four Seasons will be $5 more than those purchased at the school. Single Session Tickets: Sessions 1-7: Adults-$10.00, Students-$8.00, Session 8 (challenge game-All Session passes not accepted): Adults-$5.00, Students-$4.00. The girls will play CJI Wednesday at 8:30pm and the boys will face the winner of Ft. Benton/Heart Butte at 5:30pm on Thursday. The 2nd Annual Free Throw Calcutta was a great success bringing in $3,400 to be split between the boys’ and girls’ basketball programs. The boys will take on Highwood at 6:00pm on Thursday. Congratulations to Rowan Flaten (6th Grade) and JJ Hoffmann (8th Grade) for finishing First and Second at this year's 4th - 8th Grade Geography B.

Over the weekend the state DECA conference was held in Missoula, MT where 538 high school students came to compete in various events. There were multiple students from Belt to make it to the final rounds of competition in their respective events, but we had three stand out students receive some of the highest awards. Regan Jassen in Principles of Finance, becoming a state champion. As well as Emerson Hoerner and Parker Osterman earning a first place medal in their Financial Literacy Project. Mrs. Mavrinac would like to give Clayton Jassen a shout out for placing 7th out of 538 students in the core business test.

Congrats to Reagan Jassen, Kate Hedstrom, and Vannie Urick who came home with top places at last weekend's FFA Leadership Development Event.

There is a boys' C-squad game Monday night (Feb 5) at 6:00pm in Belt versus the Gt Falls Home School. There will be boys' and girls' JV games on Tuesday night (Feb 6) in Belt versus Cascade starting at 6:00pm.

Friday night the Huskies will host DGSG with game times at GJV 3:00/BJV 4:30/GV 6:00/BV 7:30. The 2024 Hall of Fame inductions will take place between the varsity games. Saturday the Huskies host TCT with game times at BJV 3:30/GV 5:00/BV 6:30. The Free Throw Calcutta fundraiser will take place following the games Saturday night.

The middle school students will head to Showdown on Wednesday, Jan 31, for a day of skiing. Please remember to dress in layers, wear sunscreen, and pack a lunch or bring $10 for lunch at the lodge.

As we move into the final weeks of the basketball season we have a busy week of games. Boys' and girls' C squads travel to Ft Benton Monday night, game time are G “C” 5:00/B “C” 6:30. Tuesday the boys travel to Highwood, game times BJV 4:30/BV 6:00. Thursday the girls travel to Simms, game times GJV 5:00/GV 6:30. Friday DGSG travels to Belt, game times GJV 3:00/BJV 4:30/GV 6:00/BV 7:30. Saturday Hobson-Moore travels to Belt, game times BJV 3:30/GV 5:00/BV 6:30. There will also be a FT Calcutta fundraiser following the home games on Saturday. We hope to see everyone out supporting our Huskies!

The Belt Husky Free Throw Calcutta will held on Saturday, February 3rd, following the home games versus the TCT Titans. Proceeds will go to the boys' and girls' basketball teams. The free throw teams will be auctioned off (silent auction) during the high school basketball games. Game times are BJV 3:30/GV 5:00/BV 6:30.

UPDATE: Friday the HS basketball teams travel to Grass Range with game times as follows: BJV 4:30/GV 6:00/BV 7:30. There is no JV girls game today.
