The Belt School Science Fair which took place on Monday and Tuesday was a great success. We would like to congratulate all of the students on a job well done and thank all of the judges for volunteering their time. Many of the students that competed locally will be moving on to the regional competition in March. Good job Huskies!

Tomorrow will be the Elementary and HS Science Fair also in the multipurpose gym. We also have the divisional basketball tournament this week, the boys' team will play Dutton-Brady Thursday at 4:00pm and the girls' team will play Simms Thursday at 7:00pm.

The District 8C basketball tournament kicks off this Wednesday at the Great Falls High Fieldhouse. The boys' team will play Wednesday at 3:00pm vs Geraldine/Highwood. The girls' team will play Thursday at 3:00pm vs WGR. Tournament passes are available for sale at the school office. Best of luck to our Huskies!

3-5 Ski Day Postponed-
Due to the below zero temperature forecasts for tomorrow, 2/2/22, our 3-5 Ski Day has been postponed. We will send out updates once we reschedule the day. Students will have a normal school day tomorrow.

The Close Up 2023 Pancake Dinner has been rescheduled for next Tuesday (2/1) night during the Boys & Girls basketball games vs. G-HW. Forget about cooking at home and come to the school to cheer on our Huskies and support our Close Up students.
The Belt Fiddle Club plans to start lessons again on February 1st and continue through April 26th. Lessons will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30pm. Please see the attached letter for more information or contact Peter Wilson at the Belt School.
Belt Close Up 2023 will be hosting a Pancake Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser on February 1st from 4:30pm-7:30pm. The cost is $7 per person or $25 for a family of 4 or more. The fundraiser will coincide with home basketball games: Boys' JV vs Power (3:30pm), Girls' V vs Geraldine/Highwood (5:00pm), and Boys' V vs Geraldine/Highwood (6:30pm).
3 Rivers will be doing work on the communication lines going into the school building this evening, 1/26/22. The phones and internet will be out of service in the school from approximately 5:00pm-6:00pm. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Our Lady Husky basketball games in Winifred scheduled for Friday, 1/21, have been postponed and will be played on Tuesday, 1/25, in Winifred at 4:30 (1/2 JV) and 5:30pm.
The boys games in Winifred, Friday- 1/21, are still scheduled. The boys will play at 5:30 and 7:00pm.
As we continue to navigate through the pandemic, cold and flu season, and other sickness we receive questions on when to keep children home from school. Attached is wording from our student handbook on keeping sick children home, however the short version is that if a child is sick they should stay home until they are better. Please review the attached information, if you have questions feel free to contact the school office.
